Federal State Budgetary Institution ‘Scientific Centre for Expert Evaluation of Medicinal Products’ of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (SCEEMP) performs evaluation of Russian-produced and imported medicinal products.
SCEEMP performs different types of evaluation in the context of clinical trial applications, marketing authorisation applications, and variation applications for all medicinal products marketed in Russia by ensuring their compliance with the quality, safety, and efficacy requirements (see ‘Evaluation’).
SCEEMP employs highly qualified professionals in medicine, pharmacology, toxicology, chemistry, biology, and other scientific fields, whose professional responsibilities are guided by the Russian national laws and regulations on medicinal products, as well as the Rules of Marketing Authorisation and Assessment of Medicinal Products for Human Use established by Decisions of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council.
Out of more than 1,000 current SCEEMP employees, 32 are Doctors of Science (including 12 Full Professors) and 185 are Candidates of Science.
SCEEMP publishing activities include the preparation and publication of research and practice journals, monographs, guidelines, as well as the State Pharmacopoeia of the Russian Federation.
